⚡ PicoSure Laser Recovery Insights
How long does the redness last after PicoSure Focus?
Typically, post-treatment redness resolves within 24 to 48 hours. Your skin will feel like a mild sunburn immediately after the procedure. To soothe this sensation and support your lipid barrier, we recommend applying a thin layer of Sheer Ceramide immediately post-laser.
Why are my brown spots darker after PicoSure?
This is completely normal and is actually a great sign! It indicates that the laser successfully targeted and shattered the underlying pigment. These darkened areas may feel slightly crusty and will naturally flake off within 5 to 7 days, revealing brighter skin underneath. Do not pick or scrub the skin during this time.
When can I resume my normal skincare routine / Retinol after PicoSure?
You should wait at least 7 days before reintroducing any "active" ingredients into your routine, such as Retinol, Vitamin C, glycolic acid, or AHAs/BHAs. For the first week, focus purely on intensive barrier repair and deep hydration to shield the vulnerable skin surface.
Can I wear makeup the next day?
Generally, yes. You can apply makeup 24 hours after your treatment. However, ensure it is applied very gently and look for a clean, mineral-based formula to allow the recovering skin barrier to breathe without risk of congestion or irritation.
Enspri Peptide Plus Serum absorbs into the skin's surface—making it the ideal glide serum for at-home microneedling. By using Peptide Plus during your treatment, you infuse the skin with the hydration and peptides it needs during its most receptive state
Nancy
At-Home Microneedling
"Peptide Plus created the perfect glide... two weeks later my skin is noticeably smoother."
Improved radiance and visible reduction in fine lines.
Jen
Skin Renewal Protocol
"Significant reduction in post-blemish texture. My skin tone has evened out so much."
Dramatic transformation of uneven skin texture.
The Challenge: Jen struggled with persistent textural irregularities and visible red patches. Her goal was to improve the appearance of skin smoothness and unify her tone for a more balanced complexion.
The Protocol: Jen utilized a skin-refining tool with Peptide Plus Serum as her primary treatment serum to provide a seamless glide and essential peptide infusion. Post-procedure, she maintained a strict recovery bridge: applying Peptide Plus whenever skin felt tight, followed by her daily hydrator. She utilized a hydrating sheet mask daily for 7 days and sealed her evening routine with a barrier-protecting lipid (Sheer Ceramide) to lock in moisture.
The Result: At 2 weeks, Jen noted a visible smoothing effect in the look of deeper textural concerns and a more resilient moisture barrier.
Jackie
Aging Concerns
"My face just looks more awake. I wasn't expecting results this quickly."
Reduced the appearance of dryness and softened appearance of deep lines.
🩺 Microneedling Recovery Insights
Is peeling and flaking normal after microneedling?
Yes, peeling and visible flaking are fully expected parts of the renewal cycle. Shedding typically peaks between Days 3 and 5 as old skin cells are displaced. It is critical that you never pick, pull, or mechanically exfoliate this skin; instead, deliver deep, uninterrupted hydration to support the process.
Why does my skin feel so tight and dry after microneedling?
Microneedling temporarily creates physical micro-channels, disrupting your natural stratum corneum. This results in heavy Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL). To resolve this tight sensation, pairing a clean hyaluronic acid or cell-communicating peptide layer like Peptide Plus Serum with an emollient ceramide cream is highly recommended.
When can I wash my face after microneedling?
You should wait at least 4 hours (or ideally until the following morning) before cleansing your face. When you wash, use only lukewarm water and a completely fragrance-free, non-stripping cleanser. Wash using gentle circular hands only—absolutely no scrubs, washcloths, or facial brushes.
Can I sweat or work out after microneedling?
No. You must completely avoid heavy workouts, hot saunas, and steam rooms for 48 to 72 hours following treatment. Heavy sweat can carry environmental bacteria into the open micro-channels, introducing a significant risk of infection, prolonged inflammation, and irritation.
